Junior QA Tester

Salary of up to £30,000 DOE

As a Junior QA Tester, you’ll help ensure our applications meet the highest quality standards by executing test cases, identifying and reporting defects, and supporting the delivery of reliable solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or grow their career in software/system testing.
Key responsibilities include:
Identify Test target
Identify Test ideas
Define test details, assessment and traceability needs
Determine test (Expected) results
Structure the test implementation
Define testability elements
Implement Tests and Test Suites
Execute Test Suite
Analyse Test Failure
Report Defects and Test outcomes
Follow the processes and procedures within the team and department
We are looking for someone with:
Qualifications:
ISEB/ISTQB Foundation Certificate (desirable)
Computer Science or IT degree (desirable)
Essential skills:
Good knowledge of MS Office products
Desired Experience/Skills:
1 to 2 years testing experience (Manual or Automation) and/or Experience of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) / Post Implementation Testing

Technical Focus – able to apply sound system engineering principles
Analytical skills; analysing problems and recommending solutions
Demonstrate the ability to convey information clearly, accurately and convincingly through speech and in writing. Must demonstrate a high level of listening skills, tact, and diplomacy.
Receptive to the need for change and adaptable to changing work demands and conditions.
Demonstrates awareness of importance of issues related to legal, compliance and procedural adherence and commitment to achieving required standards.
