Job Description

The role ideally requires a Law Graduate with 5-8 years of relevant experience in legal processes.  This role involves supporting attorneys and paralegals in US in defending litigations and other claims or providing various legal or legal-administrative services to the US business.  The resource would be required to review/analyze/compile/consolidate information on consumers or their related matters from in-house data base accessing various internal platforms to determine and provide appropriate treatment. The resource would need to prepare documents and perform applicable work on files in a manner that meets the prescribed timelines and quality standards.  In addition to the above, the Assistant Manager is a subject matter expert for all processes being catered and is responsible for driving the team to achieve the end requirement of these processes.   The resource should also be able to play the role of the principal point of contact for certain processes and should be able to maintain a basic level of MIS for these processes.  The resource should also be able to hold a high level of adherence towards policies, procedures and processes of the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Act as a Subject Matter Expert in Reviewing/Analyzing accounts or documents and determining appropriate and applicable treatment in line with set SOPs or other standard procedures established for varied tasks. 35%

Individually capable to deliver consolidated reports and final work products of the appropriate documents or responses created as part of varied processes.  Able to perform valid searches, consolidate findings and prepare end reports for stakeholders in a timely and accurate manner. 35%

Able to act as a primary contact for certain processes, communicating closely with concerned paralegals and attorneys (stakeholders).  Timely raising queries as well as calibrating the work-product to streamline understanding and deliver accurate work-product. 10%

Analyzing the quality of the work-product, performing random sample checks as well as perform second level checks on various processes of the team. 10%

Able to maintain a basic-level MIS for concerned processes.  Consolidating work-product of individual team members with highlight on stand-out remarks and discrepancies.  Able to manage work-allocation to ensure and increase efficiency. 10%

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:  Bachelor's                 FIELD OF STUDY:  Law

EXPERIENCE:  Minimum 5 years of experience in legal or legal-administrative services.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER ATTRIBUTES:

  • MS Office (MS Word, Outlook and Excel).
  • Strong English reading and writing skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE:  Basic understanding of US Legal system along with understanding of legal compliance and review of legal documents

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER ATTRIBUTES:

  • Strong Analytical skills
  • Advanced understanding of MS Excel and Basic understanding of PowerPoint.
