This role assists in testing, executing and documenting IT SOX controls, reporting on IT internal audits and special projects. This role would primarily be responsible in assisting on the evaluation of design and testing operating effectiveness of SOX ITGC controls for all in-scope entities.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
IT Control Testing - Test internal controls in relation to Encore’s SOX Compliance program, a requirement for publicly traded companies in the Unites States and India ICOFR requirements as per requirements of India Companies Act. Assess the effectiveness of internal controls – assessing whether the controls are appropriately designed, implemented and operating effectively.70%
IT Audits - Assist in IT specific or other audits covering computer operations, security, change management and other IT areas as per the audit plan for the year.-15%
IT Audit related Special Projects -Assist in special projects involving review of system migrations, software changes, any other management requests and investigations.-10%
Perform other duties, as assigned -5%

EDUCATION: Bachelor's FIELD OF STUDY: Information Technology
EXPERIENCE: 0-1 years
CERTIFICATION(S): Certification(s) required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER ATTRIBUTES:

Working knowledge of SOX and IT general controls.
Proficient in written and oral communication
Logical and analytical approach with a keen eye on detail.
Working knowledge with MS Office products (Excel/Visio/PowerPoint/Access), databases, etc.
Should have good understanding of IT processes and risk.
Proficiency in English and Hindi

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Accounting, or related field
