Networks Senior Manager
West Malling, KentAn exciting opportunity has arisen to join Cabot Financial in Kings Hill as a Senior Networking Manager. This is a hybrid role with travel to Kings Hill, ME19 4UA, when required. Some London and Europena travel may also be required.
Job Purpose
To deliver IT network services across the Cabot group, responsible for Network governance management ensuring the safe and cost-effective deployment of resources for the European Estate.
This role will work closely with the Enterprise architect function and IT engineering to develop a network strategy across Cabot Group.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Lead the Group Networking team, managing IT staff, developing their careers, inspiring them to innovation and excellence, and developing a commercially aware & customer-focused service ethos within the group.
- Delivery of all group networking, driving innovation – SD-WAN, Cloud Networking.
- Ensure compliance and governance with Infosec Standards across the estate.
- Responsible for voice services across the estate, collaborating with the business on SLAs & Quality of service.
- Collaborate with Group CIO, Infosec, Business leaders, EA, IT Engineering to plan and transform mainly BU specific on premise solutions into cloud based shared services or modern solutions where appropriate.
- Collaborate with Encore / MCM technical teams on direction, standards and policy.
- Lead the technical implementation of network services, including cost, capacity, security, and availability monitoring.
- Ownership of key IT SOX controls, ensuring governance and security of key business processes.
- Manage the cost effectiveness and prioritisation of the team, enabling the business divisions to understand IT cost drivers and to influence them appropriately.
- Implement appropriate governance, standards, controls, processes, and a metrics-based performance.
- Manage strategic planning across the service and applications portfolio ensuring that they are aligned closely with the business strategy.
- Deliver on the business availability targets for all systems on an ongoing basis.
- Manage and deliver disaster recovery planning and testing for all services in the team’s remit.
- Works with the wider senior team to ensure that all activities and operations are performed in compliance with regulations and laws governing business operations.
- Provide leadership cover, supporting IT management escalation for critical issues both in and out of hours
Person specification:
Knowledge & Experience
- Significant experience in network Architecture and design
- IT Operations leadership and management involving the ITIL framework
- Substantial experience working with Azure and other cloud services for cloud networking
- Experience of operating within multi-site, multi region distributed services
- Strategic planning including Service and Infrastructure transformation
- Understands BCP / DR concepts and approaches
- Strong People development/management capabilities
- Infrastructure and network best practice
- Ideally degree level qualification in directly related field

- Able to work at pace whilst maintaining very high standard
- Able to operate effectively in a matrix management structure and is comfortable being accountable for services they may not directly own
- Ability to communicate clearly internally and externally and develop relationships with a variety of stakeholders
