Sr. Specialist/ Assistant Manager, Benefits

Responsibilities

Manages Benefits processes to support deployment of Total Rewards Strategy. Performs complex analytics and provides insights based on data to support functional decision making. Works under limited supervision. Solves problems which are moderate in scope and complexity.

The Assistant Manager – Benefits is responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and administration of the organization’s benefits programs. This includes salary structures, incentive plans, benefits programs, benchmarking, compliance, and reporting to ensure competitiveness and alignment with the company’s strategy.

Benefits Reporting & Analytics Lead

  • Own end-to-end reporting for benefits programs (insurance, wellness, employee life cycle etc)
  • Develop and maintain dashboards to track utilization, cost trends, and employee engagement.
  • Analyze data to identify patterns, gaps, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Present insights to HR leadership and support decision-making.

Vendor & Program Performance Analyst

  • Monitor SLAs and KPIs of benefits vendors using data.
  • Adherence on data accuracy on monthly data sharing with insurance vendors
  • Track claims data, service turnaround times, and employee feedback.
  • Support quarterly and annual reviews with vendors using performance metrics.​

Policy & Compliance Coordinator

  • Ensure benefits programs comply with internal policies.
  • Maintain documentation and audit trails for all benefits-related activities.
  • Support internal and external audits with accurate data and reports

Employee Experience & Communication Partner

  • Collaborate with internal teams to design communication plans for benefits rollouts.
  • Use data to segment employee groups and tailor messaging.
  • Track effectiveness of communication campaigns through engagement metrics.

Process Improvement & Automation Champion

  • Identify manual processes in benefits administration and propose automation.
  • Work with HRIS/tech teams to streamline data flows and reporting.
  • Use analytics to measure impact of process changes on efficiency and employee satisfaction.

EXPERIENCE:  Required: 3-5 years in progressive HR roles, with at least 3 years in benefits. Knowledge in HR research methodology, survey development, statistics, and data analysis and reporting. Advanced Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook. HRIS, Experience maintaining confidential data.

  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Assist in the development and administration of benefits policies, frameworks, and salary structures.
  • Conduct benchmarking and market analysis using benefit surveys
  • Analyze internal benefit and employee life cycle data.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER ATTRIBUTES:

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems.
  • Knowledge of labor laws and statutory compliance in India (or relevant geography).
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
